1. Introduction

Welcome to Prompt Gallery. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our Android app. By using Prompt Gallery you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. What information we collect

Because Prompt Gallery does not require user sign-up, the amount of personal data we collect is limited. We may collect:

a. Information you provide directly

  • None required for basic use (no registration).
  • If you contact us via the website contact form, you may provide name, email, and message — that information is stored only to respond to your request.

b. Device & usage information (automatically collected)

  • Non-identifying technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and anonymous usage statistics (e.g., screens visited, features used).
  • Likes, saves and browsing behavior — stored locally on your device for personal use and aggregated anonymously for app features like Hot Picks and like counts (see “How likes & saves work” below).

c. Data stored in Firebase Firestore

  • App content (prompts) is stored/managed in Firebase Firestore. Public prompt entries and aggregated like counts are stored so the app can display prompts and Hot Picks.
  • Any administrative or editorial data required to manage the prompt database may be stored in Firestore by the app administrator.

d. Third-party analytics & advertising

  • We use Google Analytics (for Firebase) to collect aggregated analytics about app performance and usage.
  • We use Google AdMob to show ads. Ad networks may collect identifiers and other information in accordance with their policies.

3. How likes & saves work (no signup)

  • Saves: Saved prompts are stored locally on your device (so you can access them without signing in). They are not tied to a personal account.
  • Likes / Hot Picks: When you “like” a prompt, the app may send a simple anonymous event to our Firestore backend to increment the prompt’s public like count (no personal identifiers are attached). If you prefer likes to remain local only, you can disable network access for the app or uninstall the app.

4. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate and improve the app and its features (search, sorting, Hot Picks).
  • Aggregate analytics to understand usage and fix crashes.
  • Serve relevant ads through AdMob.
  • Maintain and update the Firebase Firestore prompt database.

5. Legal basis & consent

By using the app you consent to collection and processing described in this policy. Where applicable, we rely on legitimate interests (app operation, analytics, advertising) and your consent for analytics/ads.

6. Sharing & disclosures

We will not sell your personal information. We may disclose information:

  • To service providers (Google Firebase, Google Analytics, Google AdMob) who process data on our behalf.
  • To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

7. Third-party services

The app uses third-party services (Firebase, Google Analytics, AdMob). Those services have their own privacy policies and may collect and process data independently. We recommend reviewing their policies:

  • Google Firebase / Analytics
  • Google AdMob

(You can view and manage ad personalization via your Google Ads Settings.)

8. Cookies and tracking

The app itself does not use traditional browser cookies, but third-party SDKs (analytics/ads) may use identifiers, local storage, or device identifiers to measure and deliver ads.

9. Your rights

Where applicable you may have rights including:

  • Access: Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of personal information we maintain about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us via the website contact form at bachynski.blog.

10. Data retention & security

  • We retain aggregated analytics and prompt database records as needed to operate the app. Personal messages sent via contact form are retained for as long as necessary to respond.
  • We employ industry-standard security measures, but no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

Prompt Gallery is not targeted at children under 13. If you believe a child under applicable age has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will post the new policy with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
